On a trip to the beauty supply store, I stumbled across a brand I had never tried before, Aunt Jackie’s Hair Products. The packaging was plain and simple and the products seemed promising. I knew I had to do an Aunt Jackie’s review of the products I purchased. Aunt Jackie’s products are designed to work together so I grabbed a few to try on the little one’s hair. Her hair is chronically dry so I’m always looking to add moisture and seal it all in. Aunt Jackie’s Seal It Up Hydrating Sealing Butter promises to lock in moisture for use for braids, up dos and other protective styles. It turned out to be our favorite product of the bunch. I found that it really softens up her hair and after using it followed by an oil it holds the moisture in her braids.
For this style, I spritzed the Aunt Jackies Half & Half Hydrating Silkening Hair Milk on her hair, followed up with the Seal It Up Hydrating Sealing Butter and then used organic coconut oil to seal it all in. Her braids came out great and her hair stayed moisturized so it’s a win for us. When I’m really feeling fancy I’ll use the Aunt Jackies Don’t Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Curling Gel to smooth down her baby hair with a toothbrush. I really like that the flaxseed gel doesn’t make her hair hard, it just smooths it down and provides a very gentle hold.
