Every summer it seems like we run into the same issue, it’s hot and our day care requires closed toe shoes. Closed toe shoes are for sure safer than open toe shoes, but it always seems like the cutest styles are open toe sandals. Here are my picks for the best toddler sandals for daycare
Our favorite for this summer is Umi Brand Tamela II Fisherman Sandal, it’s closed toe and goes with everything. I love it because the upper is actually leather and there is plenty of cushion in the bottom. The rubber is great too because it helps with slips and falls a little bit. This pair is a little on the pricier side, but I try my best not to do cheap shoes for little developing toes. I keep a big box of magic erasers handy to quickly clean them when they get a little dirty. If white isn’t your thing, they come in a neutral silver color too.
Stride Rite makes the best active wear sporty sandals that can get wet – they are like a cross between a sneaker, sandal and water shoe. There are so many different varieties and color ways, but I try to stick with colors that go with the majority of the things in her closet. I’m not sure if the style or the fact that they are machine washable is the best thing. Find the Stride Rite Bridgette Water Sandal on Amazon.com
