The Better Way to Wash Your Face

When you wash your face, how do you do it?  Before getting a facial and chatting with the aesthetician, I would wet my face and lather it up with whatever cleanser I was using.  I would use little circular motions, thoroughly cleansing my face, afterwards I would dry it off and proceed with the rest of my skin care products.  But guess what?  This aesthetician dropped a little pearl on me, she said you should always lather up again.  When it comes to my hair and shampooing I always shampoo twice, but when I wash my face?  Nope, usually only once.  Here was her rationale:  the first wash gets rid of the makeup, products of the environment, etc.  But the second cleanse is the one that actually gets into your pores, thoroughly cleansing your skin.

I've been using this method for about a month now and I must say I'm impressed with the results, such a big change from a small change.  My skin seems clearer than usual and that's always welcomed.

So how many times do you lather up?

hmmm, never thought of doing this lather thing twice. I also shampoo only once, I don't like how my hair puffs up if I do it twice.

But then again, I am not wearing any make-up :D

But I might take you up on this advice and see what results do I get.
