While roses are the popular flower of choice for Valentine’s Day, rose hips, from the seed pod of roses, are great for the skin. They contain nature’s highest concentration of vitamin C, which strengthens the skins collagen. To reap the benefits of rose hips, Ole Henriksen recommends his below, at-home recipe.
Face Mist with Rose Hips Tea – all skin types
2 oz strongly brewed rose hips tea
2 oz strongly brewed chamomile tea
2 oz aloe vera gel
Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into a mister bottle and store in the refrigerator.
This face mist is great as a skin brighter after shaving and before applying moisturizer. It can also be used as a quick pick me up at night before going out, due to the cooling impact from having been stored in the refrigerator. The chamomile is calming and soothing, while aloe vera is lightly hydrating and eliminates any redness from the skin.
