Natural Deodorant: Naturally Fresh Crystal Deodorant


I'm still on my mission to find the most effective natural deodorant! After my traumatic experience that I shared with you guys, here I haven't tried a traditional deodorant since. So far is seems as though the crystal style deodorants are the best natural options on the market, so naturally I turned to Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal.


Naturally Fresh is the only varieity that contains Aloe Vera and comes in Roll-Ons, Spray Mists and extra gentle fragrances. The 100% natural brand does not contain any of the harmful processed aluminum or parabens found in conventional deodorants, and it's highly recommended by dermatologists, allergists and oncologists.

I've tried the crystal, roll-on, and spray my favorites are the spray and crystal. The roll-on was the least effective for me. The spray is a welcome change from the crystal because unlike the crystal it comes in fresh scents like lavendar, papaya, and more. This product is even effective during an hour of hot yoga, my sweat was tolerable and didn't stink up the joint!

Pull an All Nighter


I know it's a bit early to be thinking of holiday parties, but once I tried The All-Nighter I knew it would be perfect mixed with baby oil and applied all over the body for a nice hint of shimmer under those party dresses. Marketed as an all-natural highlighter for hair, face, and body! This unique, multi-purpose loose powder is formulated with silk, rice, and minerals - gently scented with just a touch of cinnamon. I had a hard time smelling the cinnamon scent and I would not use this product just for a hint of cinnamon scent.

Relief in a Rollerball

I wholeheartedly believe in Aromatherapy, do you? "Aromatherapy is the practice of using volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being. Recently, me and a co-worker who has also grown to be a dear friend were left alone on the medical side of our nursing unit with 8 patients each. Sounds like no big deal right? Except, of these 16 patients one was trached, one was vented, 5 had feeding tubes, and 7 or 8 were Neuro patients. One of the neuro patients was newly diagnosed with multiple infarcts and put on heparin but was thoroughly confused and ripped out 3 hep-locks and since the patient was some type of body builder shredded the bilaterally wrist restraints to shreds. Another one of the neuro patients had CSF leaking from his nose! So now when I say we had 8 patients each and admissions couldn't be held you understand my pain.


Thankfully, we're a team! We worked together, got everything done, and left right on time! We didn't have a break, but hey ... that's NURSING right?!? Throughout the course of the night, I whipped out my pencil bag and found that my Bath by Bettijo Relief Stick was in there. A few swipes of this and a few moments of deep breathing was all I need to rejuvenate myself before I had to chase after that 200+ pound naked man running down the hallway dripping blood from the hep-lock site.

Curel is one of my favorite drugstore lotions, it's affordable and get's the job done. You won't find a ashy knee, elbow, or ankle around these parts because apply lotion like it's my JOB! Now Curel has a new lotion that I'm in love with, Curel® Sensitive Skin Remedy Lotion. It's been newly reformulated with Ceramides and Eucalyptus Extract. In addition, each therapeutic moisturizer in the collection has been specifically formulated to meet many different skin needs, utilizing ingredients such as:

Public Restroom Survival


This is probably TMI, but I have a pretty easily irritated stomach and that's putting it lightly. There are certain foods that I just shouldn't eat, but I do it anyway so I'm always heading to the nearest restroom. The nearest restroom is usually not a pretty place, let alone a place where you really want to do your business. Over the years, I've come to carry things that make public restrooms a little bit more pleasant. Here's a sneak peek into my stash!

Poo~Pourri is used like no other deodorizer, BEFORE you go to the bathroom. Whether you are traveling cross-country by plane, sharing a bathroom with co-workers or visiting your fiancé's family for the first time - your bathroom emergencies will be your secret! Charmin On the Go! I've found that public restrooms usually have the absolute WORST toliet paper. It's small enough to carry anywhere and it really does come in handy. I've always been lucky enough to find this in my local dollar store.

Smooth Legs


Just because summer is slowly slipping away from us doesn't mean that you should just turn into the Wolf Man, now does it? As I've previously said, I love Schick Intuition Razors but lately I've decided to try some other razors. Since I'm a fan of Schick, I stayed within that company.

The only downside of using the Quattro is that unlike the Intuition razor is that the Quattro razor is not surrounded with thick lotion/soap bar to help the razor glide. Instead, you have to use some type of shaving cream. My favorite? Aveda Men Pure-Formance Shave Cream. Yes, it's a product made for men but haven't you ever snagged your man's products before. Anyway, Pure-Formance Shave Cream moisturizes like crazy and helps the razor glide and slide right over your skin.

Indian Summer


It's officially Fall, but with the way the weather is treating us it looks as if we're heading toward an Indian Summer. So how appropriate is the new collection from B. Witching Bath Co.?
