New Look for Ideeli

Did you know that sample sale site, Ideeli is turning 3 years old?  Doesn't seem like it's been around that long, but they have and now to celebrate their B-Day they have totally revamped the site. 

With the changes comes a totally customizable experience.  The "Latest" page is called "On Sale Today," and there are tabs there for Women, Home, and Kids, to make navigating that much easier. It’s basically a way for you to see just the sales you want to see, when you want to see them. Why? Carol's Daughter Expands Hair Milk


Carol's Daughters products are usually very hit or miss, there's no real middle ground.  Either you love the product or hate it.  But one product that seems to be on everyone's hit list is Carol's Daughters Hair Milk.  Now, expanding on the cult-favorite Hair Milk, they've created Hair Milk Curl Perfecting Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair Milk Lite.

Tinted Moisturizer

It's finally warm outside! That means it's time to put down the primers, foundations, powders, and all that and reach for a tinted moisturizer. Tinted moisturizers are the easiest way to add just enough color to smooth and even out your skin tone without loading your face with tons of makeup. freshMinerals is a great tinted moisturizer that not only evens out skin tone, it also protects the skin with SPF 20 and replenishes with vitamin E and C.  The attached brush for application is genius.   


The only downside is that it only comes in five different shades and it's not exactly brown girl friendly as four of the five colors are lighter than say Beyonce.  I was able to get away with nude, but it's not a perfect match.  Hopefully freshMinerals will expand their tinted moisturizer line so they match more skin tones.

But once you get past that, you'll find information that touches on all aspects of life, beauty (more than just the brazilian wax), confidence, death, and of course sex. Growing up in the Cosmo Magazine era, I was shock and surprised to read sex tips and trick that have not already heard about. With all that said, the best thing about the book is the way Janea's writing makes you feel like you're having a conversation with your best girlfriend that knows it all (in a good way).

Fashion on the Blvd: Statement Necklace

When your budget is limited, accessories are the easiest way to dress up what you already have.  Even though I'm a self proclaimed Plain Jane, occasionally an over the top piece of jewelry will catch my eye.  The Banana Republic Perseus lava bib has caught my eye and I won't be satisfied until it's mine!  It costs $69.50 and it's made of the prettiest coral colored stones.
