Relief in a Rollerball

Recently, me and a co-worker who has also grown to be a dear friend were left alone on the medical side of our nursing unit with 8 patients each. Sounds like no big deal right? Except, of these 16 patients one was trached, one was vented, 5 had feeding tubes, and 7 or 8 were Neuro patients. One of the neuro patients was newly diagnosed with multiple infarcts and put on heparin but was thoroughly confused and ripped out 3 hep-locks and since the patient was some type of body builder shredded the bilaterally wrist restraints to shreds. Another one of the neuro patients had CSF leaking from his nose! So now when I say we had 8 patients each and admissions couldn't be held you understand my pain.
Thankfully, we're a team! We worked together, got everything done, and left right on time! We didn't have a break, but hey ... that's NURSING right?!? Throughout the course of the night, I whipped out my pencil bag and found that my Bath by Bettijo Relief Stick was in there.
