Beauty Read: Brazilian Sexy by Janea Padilha
Walk down any street in Rio or São Paulo, and you will see a virtual parade of beauty. Is it because Brazilian women are naturally prettier and sexier than women everywhere else? No, of course not. It’s the way they walk, how they wear their clothes, their attitude about men and sex—and most importantly, their fearless stance about life. Brazilian women have something that cannot be bottled—but it can be taught.
BRAZILIAN SEXY: Secrets to Living a Gorgeous and Confident Life
Growing up, Jocely, Jonice, Janea, Joyce, Juracy, Jussara, and Judseia—collectively known as the J Sisters—learned the Janea of the legendary J. Sisters has written a book and it's a must have! Not quite sure who the J. Sisters are? Then you must have been living under a rock all you're life. Come on out from under there and be schooled: In 1987, the J Sisters opened a salon in Manhattan and began offering their Brazilian beauty secrets to a growing roster of clients. What began as a family run nail salon quickly turned into a booming business when the J Sisters became the first pioneers of the Brazilian bikini wax in the United States in 1994. Today, the New York City J Sisters Beauty Salon is a multimillion dollar business and the salon provides a variety of services to over 300 customers each day, including numerous celebrity clients like Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank, and Kate Winslet. On to the book!
Brazilian Sexy is the title and within the pages you will find all types of advice, funny stories, and dare I say it... life lessons. Once I picked up the book, I just couldn't put it down. Once you get past the common sense basic information that every grown woman should already know, like how to properly cleanse your woohaa. I mean really?!? Grown women don't know this?! But once you get past that, you'll find information that touches on all aspects of life, beauty (more than just the brazilian wax), confidence, death, and of course sex. Growing up in the Cosmo Magazine era, I was shock and surprised to read sex tips and trick that have not already heard about. With all that said, the best thing about the book is the way Janea's writing makes you feel like you're having a conversation with your best girlfriend that knows it all (in a good way).
