3Lab is a skincare line that is owned by a husband and wife team. The products are formulated by two chemists and one dermatologist. The main goal was to make a product that made the skin perfect! Yes, you read right ... perfect skin. Seems like a dream, right? Well it maybe not be anymore. As long as you keep in mind that perfect skin does come with a price tag, a hefty one but then again, what doesn't anymore?

I had the pleasure of going on a field trip sponsored by Total Beauty to the 3Lab headquarters in Englewood, NJ. Where I was able to tour the facility and see products being hand filled. Even the sample sized bottles and pots are hand filled by an actual person! When 3Lab launched there were only 5 products, but now the line includes anywhere from 20-23 products. All of their products can be found at Barneys, Rescue Beauty Lounge, and Saks.com. A unique thing about 3Lab skin care advisers that can be found at these beauty counters is that they are well educated about the entire line and are not paid off of commission. Instead, they are considered "Business Managers" and are 3Lab employees.

Before leaving to go to 3Lab I tried a new foundation and it was making my face feel heavy, so as soon as I came back from the 3Lab headquarters I washed my face with the Perfect Cleansing Scrub. This scrub contains jojoba beads, which if you are not familiar with are perfect little circles so it doesn't give that tough exfoliation. It was fun to use because the beads felt as if they were rolling around on my face. But I have to admit while I was using it I was thinking "there is no way this is going to really exfoliate my skin." But to my surprise it did, but very gently. If you are looking for a hard-core exfoliating product then this is not for you, but if you are looking for a gentle everyday scrub definitely try this out.
