Now that I have successfully taken my nursing boards and landed a great job I can no longer ignore the fact that I am out of shape. I might not appear to be out of shape, but I am. I can't really run without be super tired and out of breathe and I have the beginnings of a belly plus I'm just not toned like I want to be. Back in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), I read about MischoBeauty running for a cure and I think it's a great idea, it made me wish I was more in shape and could run as well. I even told her about the idea to track my progress here, I was a bit doubtful about it, but she encouraged me to just do it! So here it is, right in time for the New Year and because I know I can't do it on my own...I don't know where to begin or what to do even, I have enlisted help. That's right ladies, I got a personal trainer! AND I'm going to track my fitness progress right here on Beauty Blvd. I'm going to be writing a fitness series entitled: Beautiful Body.
Beautiful Body is all about health! The title might be a bit misleading, but I feel as though it's important to be healthy and I don't think you can have a beautiful body without working on it. It's not about being skinny or having the perfect video vixen figure, it's about embracing what you have and making it healthy! Please join me and feel free to follow the work-outs that I will be posting here, that is (here comes the medical disclaimer) after you check with your medical doctor to make sure you are physically capable and able to work-out. Beauty Blvd. assumes no responsibility if you injure yourself while working out.
Now here's how it will work. Each week I will post my scheduled workout session for the upcoming week, what I post is what I will actually be doing each day. Plus, since I'm not going to join a gym right away everything will be easy for me to do in the comfort of my own home. I may have to invest in some work-out equipment, but I'll let you know where I got it from and the cost. Stay tuned for the 1st week schedule!
