About Joi
Joi is the beauty editor and creator of Beauty Blvd. She has always had a love of beauty products, as a little girl she showed her mother who is a self proclaimed tomboy, how to blend her eyeshadow properly. She did chores around the house for a new shade of Brucci nail polish each week, and every night before school she would paint her nails to match her outfit for the next day. Joi is a registered nurse, but blogging allows her to express herself creatively discussing the one thing she loves most, BEAUTY PRODUCTS!
She first created The Anti Hair Slave with women of color and our struggles with healthy hair in mind, much of the information is discovered on a trial and error basis and then the experience is shared with the readers. Beauty Blvd. was launched next as an all encompassing beauty blog featuring product reviews, the latest in makeup, as well as insider's tips and tricks to keep you looking and feeling beautiful! The goal is to turn Beauty Blvd. into a total lifestyle blog.
